About the Instructor
Hello! My name is Alyssa, pronounced "ah-lie-zah," and I am the Founder of Energize Z Fitness, spreading Zumba love and energy since 2018.
In addition to teaching my weekly Zumba classes, I also teach at Overtime Fitness and work as the Partnership Development Specialist for Alark Co. Events & Marketing in Winnipeg. As a mother of two, I balance family life with fitness and proudly serve as an Ambassador for Popeye's Supplements Winnipeg and host summer tours for Lazopoint Tours.

My Story
I found my love for Zumba fitness during a time when I was feeling overwhelmed and stressed out at my new job. I was a full-time working mom who was struggling to maintain a healthy lifestyle and searching for a fun way to relieve stress.
I took my first Zumba class in 2018 and saw the instructor on stage—she was so happy, full of energy, and completely inspiring. I was sweaty, smiling, and so full of happiness! I knew right then that I had to share that same happiness and energy with everyone I knew. A few months later, I got licensed as a Zumba instructor and taught classes in Winnipeg.
In 2022, after the pandemic, I decided to start my own small business. I wanted to create a space that felt safe, warm, and welcoming for everyone—where we could foster inclusivity, spread love, and bring good energy to each other. Creating ENERGIZE Z FITNESS was the best decision of my life.
